MARIANA LAGORT

Exhibition text guide and translator

Mariana Lagort studied History of the Arts at the University of the Cloister of Sor Juana, she was a member of the Curatorial Committee for the R38 Forum, an exhibition space for the UCSJ. She works with the archive of the Priamo Lozada Documentation Center in the Arte Alameda Laboratory and collaborates on the Onda Mx digital platform. Part of her artistic work, she raises a question that has to do with the role that materiality plays in art from its appearance in fragment. At the moment she works on a project that she creates, as a poetic, artistic and conceptual exercise, from various media. From the concept 'waste' she generates visual metaphors that try to reveal absences and, from an experimental practice, investigates its object, without thinking a form defined in advance, but as something that results from the processes that go giving in artistic creation.
